Made on Monday # 1 - 'Mint' wire plant sign from issue 8 Simply Homemade magazine

I am attempting to organise myself and my blog a little better. I often find myself with so many works in progress, recipe, ideas and things I want to make that sorting out what to do first and what to blog becomes a massive deal. So I have decided to theme certain days so I'll know what I should be focusing on. This is the idea:
Made on Mondays - showing things I have made that come from tutorials, ideas etc That I have read about.
Tutorial Tuesday - I show you how to do or make something
Workshop Wednesday - will be things with a more educational slant - ks3, ks4 Textiles, Food Technology and Art.
Tasty Thursday - I'll share what I have been cooking and recipes
Friday Fun - Inspirational ideas of crafty ideas to do with children
Sweet Saturday - I'll share what I have been baking and post recipes
Sewing Sunday - I'll try and post a new cross stitch pattern or sewing idea each week.

So with that all in mind, welcome to the first Made on Monday. I have loads of jewellery making supplies in my craft room and I sometimes dabble with making jewellery but I am by no means a jeweller. So when I saw this project in Simply home-made Magazine for wire plant signs. I knew this was a project I should do. I have been meaning to make one of the signs ever since but have only got around to it as I had just bought some mint for the kitchen windowsill and the project came to mind. It was relatively easy to make but I wish I'd chosen another bead colour than green as although it fits with the gardening theme, it doesn't stand out very well against the plant. Perhaps with copper wire it would look bolder? What do your think?
