Friday Fun # 4 - Fruit salad

I don't think there is ever a time too early to get the kids involved in the kitchen. Just being around whilst food is being prepared gives them an opportunity to experience the joy of cooking. When they are old enough simple recipes like this one will delight them and give them a sense of pride in producing something for the family.
Here is the basic fruit salad I make with William and also my year sevens as an introduction to key stage 3 cooking.

Fruit Salad

Ingredients
1 banana,
1 apple,
1 orange,
4 strawberries,
10 grapes
1 kiwi fruit,
100ml orange juice

The fruit listed above is a suggestion you can bring other types of fruit if wished.

Equipment
Chopping board, fruit peeler, corer knife, mixing bowl,
measuring jug

Method
1. Prepare fruit and place into a large serving dish.
2. Add orange juice.
