New wardrobe project - simplicity skirt

June seems to have crept up on me and I have realized I have been rubbish at up dating you on how my new wardrobe project is going. The idea was I made at least one item of clothing a month using my fabric stash and pattern collection as my main staring point. Since my redundancy I haven't had spare cash to spend on clothes but that doesn't mean I don't want to wear new things hence my resolution was set.

I know it is now June and I haven't posted much about my project I think I've only written up two projects but that doesn't mean I haven't been sewing.
Here is my latest addition to my wardrobe.
It is a full skirt made from the Simplicity pattern 6569.

The pattern pack has a wide range of skirt choices but because I chose such amazing fabric I wanted to keep the pattern as simple as possible.

I love this African inspired print and have had the fabric in my stash for years.

It has a good weight to it and I am going to love it in the summer with a vest top.

I'm wearing my skirt with jumper from TK Maxx, embellished vest from the Jon Rocha collection in Debenhams and my shoes are from Next.
