Superhero smoothie recipes

Last week it was the start of the summer holidays. We try to have a theme for each week at home, with focused activities, perhaps a trip and some themed food. I have been getting into having smoothies for breakfast since my diagnosis. The boys often have a small glass too, so we thought we would include these in our superhero theme. All the smoothies are gluten, wheat and lactose free. They are all suitable for vegetarian and vegan diets.
These were our favorites from the week.

Make one very large glass.
You will need

  • Two kiwis
  • A small bunch of grapes
  • One tablespoon of soy Yogurt
  • One cup of Unsweetened almond milk.

  1. Peel the banana and kiwis.
  2. Wash the grapes.
  3. Place in a blender with the yogurt and almond milk.
  4. Blend until smooth.

Best enjoyed straight away. If you want a more chilled smoothie use a banana that has been peeled, chopped and frozen overnight.
