Christening, baptism, new baby, gift, cross stitch buttons capital 'A'

I just wanted to share with you a few of the new patterns I have been working on. They are inspired by all the button art work I have been seeing recently. I think they would make great gifts for welcoming a new baby or celebrating their baptism. I've started working on the whole alphabet but for now here are the 'A's. Each 'A' is created out of a range of button sizes and is stitched in either a range of pink or blue tones. The patterns are available for instant download on my etsy store and at £2.00 they are really a bargin when you want to make something special for the new person in your life.

Paper pierced rose anniversary card

The hubby and I recently celebrated our tenth wedding anniversary. Having been married ten years we don't do much anymore to mark the occasion but I thought I would make him a card. I looked up what ten years is meant to be and apparently its aluminium. Not the most romantic of inspirations but this is what I cam up with.

Cranberry Muffins recipe

I always seem to have a bag of dried cranberries left over after Christmas. The kids will happily have them as a snack but as ever I wanted to use them to bake with.
These Cranberry muffins are not over-sweet and the fruit stays moist in the muffin mix perfect for a weekend breakfast treat or in the school lunchbox.

Butterbean and pesto burger recipe

I made these burgers the other night when I was looking for something tasty to put in the fresh bread buns I had baked. I have tried numerous vegetarian burger recipes over the years and have often found them to be way to bland or too spicy or just collapsing in texture.

Butterbean and pesto burger recipe

These were the exact opposite they were flavorsome due to the pesto and the butter beans gave the burgers a robust nature. I have adapted these from a recipe in Cook Vegetarian magazine which can be found here.
