Gluten free coconut and lime traybake recipe

I do love a tray bake as you may have noticed. I also love coconut and I love to bake with it. One of my favourite flavour combinations in coconut and lime. It can instantly transport me away to somewhere far flung and tropical. If, like me, you have no chance of getting anywhere tropical soon. Enjoy a slice of this and a day dream or two.

Free cross stitch advent calendar pattern, Christmas lights

Free cross stitch advent calendar pattern, Christmas lights
I do love Christmas lights, someone once said to me that they couldn't see what lights had to do with Christmas. But I believe it's the light shining through the dark winter that sees us through. My husband also has the same love of lights and every year he poses the question of 'Do we have enough lights?'. Lets just say although we do, somehow a new set gets added each year!

Spoonflower design competition, creativity flows

Do you know Spoonflower? It's a great website which allows you to design and print your own fabric. It is also a great place to shop for unique and original designed fabric as many of the designers list their work in their own little store. I have a store on Spoonflower and would love it if you took a look.

They also run a weekly design competition and I love to take part as it often makes me design things I wouldn't normally draw.

The latest competition is to design them a 2017 Spoonflower T-Shirt
The brief was:

'What does Spoonflower mean to you? What kinds of things come to mind when you think about the brand? Is it sewing? Design? Community? Flowers? Spoons? Put it all down into a unique, never before seen surface pattern for a t-shirt that Spoonflower will be printing for 2017!'

Spoonflower design competition, creativity flows

I went with a design based on pencils. As this is where all my design work starts out. I pick up a pencil and let the design flow out. However much we have turned to computers to aid us in our design work I know that myself and many other designers love to start with a pencil. What do you think?
If you like my design please pop over to Spoonflower and vote for me. Voting opens today.

Free advent calendar cross stitch pattern, Winter Window

Well now that Halloween is officially done and dusted back to crafting for Christmas. This year I thought I'd design a set of mini cross stitch motifs that could be made up for an advent calendar. To ensure you have time to stitch them I'm going to start posting one a day from today. You obviously don't need to make them into a calendar they would be great for tags, table decorations and cards. They are small so easy enough to whip up in an evening. I do hope you enjoy my little festive designs. If you are stitching them please share your pics with me on my Facebook or Twitter pages.
