Happy St. Georges day, for Tutorial Tuesday # 2 I thought I’d show you how to do running stitch. I often assume that everyone knows all the basic stitches, but if sewing is a craft you are new to it’s important to get the basics sorted first to allow you to enjoy the craft fully.
Secure your thread at the back of your fabric and come up at point A
Move the position of your needle a short distance (in this case two squares of aida) and go down at point B
Move your needle along the back of the fabric (in this case two squares of aida) and come up again at point C
Repeat for as long as required. It should look even and each stitch should be equal in length.
