packing a punch and tasty too.
|Tasty Thursday – get set go bars
It may seem like a lot of ingredients but the longest time you’ll spend is on the weighing.
100g brown sugar
200g dried fruit of your choice
50g chopped nuts
50g flaked almonds
1tbsp of each: sesame seeds, sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds
Heat the oven to 190c gas mark 5
Melt the margarine, sugar and honey in a saucepan over a low heat
In a mixing bowl mash the bananas,
Add all the dry ingredients and mix
Pour in the sugar mixture and mix until everything is incorporated
Press into a lined baking tray and bake for 30 -35 minutes
Leave to cool and cut into bars.
Keeps for three to four days in an airtight container.
