If your a regular reader of my blog, you will know that I also sell fabric designs on the site Spoonflower
. This is an amazing online fabric selling site, where you can buy interesting and varied designs for fabric or if you want custom make your own fabric designs and have them printed. When you upload your designs, if you want to sell them, you have to order a swatch of the fabric to make sure you approve of the print. So, I had a whole pile of swatches and many of my designs are child oriented. The perfect solution to this was to finally finish covering the last cushion on the playroom sofa. I’ve combined nine of my favorite designs onto the front cover of the cushion, mixing a range of child themed prints.
On the back of the cushion I used this amazing vintage fabric that I’ve had in my fabric stash. I love the wild choice of colors and the big animal print.
The cushion fits in perfectly with my clashing designs on the other playroom sofa cushions.
Finally all the cushions are covered! The only problem is now the seat pads could do with being recover too! That’s the problem with being the sofa in a playroom for boys, you have to take a lot of beating.
