Spoonflower design competition – goats

Do you know Spoonflower? It’s a great website which allows you to design and print your own fabric. It is also a great place to shop for unique and original designed fabric as many of the designers list their work in their own little store. I have a store on Spoonflower and would love it if you took a look.

They also run a weekly design competition and I love to take part as it often make me design things I wouldn’t normally draw.

This weeks theme is Goats. This is the brief from Spoonflower:
‘Goats are leading the cute clickbait on the internet these days. The way goats bounce and jump in their fits of joy has captivated all of us at one time or another. Take this opportunity to create a restricted palette goat design to illustrate your interpretation of goats with the colors dark green (#0F310C), emerald green (#4A8E35), grey (#B4B5AA), light yellow (#F9F78D), mustard (#EDE442). Black and white are optional.’

I found this one particularly hard as most of the goats I drew looked evil, I think it’s something to do with the positioning of their eyeball, but in the end I was happy with my design. Using the limited pallet was a good challenge for me as well as I don’t often choose such muted tones.
What do you think?
If you like my design please pop over to Spoonflower and vote for me. The voting opens today.
