Spoonflower design competition, hit the books.

Do you know Spoonflower? It’s a great website which allows you to design and print your own fabric. It is also a great place to shop for unique and original designed fabric as many of the designers list their work in their own little store. I have a store on Spoonflower and would love it if you took a look.

They also run a weekly design competition and I love to take part as it often make me design things I wouldn’t normally draw.

The latest competition is entitled Hit the books. It’s time to hit the books! School is back in session and it’s time to bring out the composition notebooks, jotter journals, sketch books, text books and novels. Start studying now and give us your best design inspired by books was the brief. I started my design with a simple sketch of an open book and then wanted to bring it to life with some of the imagry associated with studying. I must admit I am really in love with the book worm and might just have to purchase some fabric to line my school bag if I ever go back into teaching.
