Review post for trutex *
I know that the schools have barely shut their doors and I hate to utter these words but they will be back at school before you know it. It’ll be a time of mixed emotions for me. My eldest will be entering year 4 and my youngest starting school! It’ll also be time for me to properly return to teaching after a three year career break. So this is why I am super organised and have already got the uniform sorted. The last thing I want to do is a mad last minute dash to get trousers and end up buying poor quality rubbish. So I’m saving my sanity and keeping it all tucked up ready for the Autumn term.
What do you look for in school uniform?
For me it’s about quality and how well the uniform will stand up to the playground antics of my boys.
I want uniform that will wash and wear well for the whole term. So I was happy to review some from trutex.
They sent me a polar fleece, a polo shirt and a pair of trousers for the youngest. As my eldest has looked after his so well (and not grown much) that all I’ll be needing to get him is new shoes.
My initial thoughts.
I love the Polar fleece, it’ll keep the youngest super cosy as Autumn starts to bite. It has a great strong front zip to make it easy for him to do up and zippered pockets so he won’t lose his gloves etc.
The trousers seem really hard wearing, they are also stain resistant which is a god send when you have two mucky boys. They have a great elasticated section at the back so he can pull them on and off easily. This is something he’s got to master over the summer, getting changed. So he’s ready for P.E class in September. I think he’ll look really smart in them
Finally the polo shirt, I do love a polo shirt on my boys. I think they look really smart and this was no exception. With a combination of polyester and cotton I am hoping this will just wash and wash.
The one thing I will say is I found the sizes generous, I ordered clothes in age three as I know my youngest is a bit on the small size and they are a bit big. So check the measurements carefully and don’t just rely on age ratings. Here’s hoping he grows a bit over the summer.
What my youngest thought.
He loved the coat, he is always one for feeling the cold so it should keep him snugly when the chilly mornings start. Overall I think he was very pleased with his new school uniform as he put it all on the next morning. He seemed a bit disappointed when I told him he doesn’t have to wear it till September.
