CHIKA’S gluten free snack review

Now I’m back at work I have less time to spend on preparing my lunch and snacks so I have been looking for tasty things I can just grab and chuck in my bag. There is nothing worse than being really hungry and then finding the canteen has nothing suitable for a coeliac to eat. I’ve been in that situation too many times and now always have a gluten free snack stashed in my bag.gluten free snack review

So, I recently got sent these snacks from CHIKA’S. They are gluten free, vegetarian and most importantly really tasty.

Gluten free snack review

gluten free snack reviewMy favourites are by far the Honey spiced almonds which have a great balance of flavours. They are both sweet and savoury, rich and spicy in one mouthful. Plus almonds are a great source of protein and are the perfect gluten free snack to have mid afternoon to stop me going through a slump of energy.

gluten free snack reviewIf you want a more savoury hit, I’d definitely recommend the Smoked Almonds. They are perfect for anyone who loves BBQ and really mellow flavours. These would go down great with a gluten free beer.

gluten free snack reviewFinally, the Chickpea crisps in Smoked Chilli flavour were a surprising hit with my hubby. He has to be the biggest crisp fan, yet he eyed these suspiciously when he saw they were made out of chickpeas. Unfortunately for me he loved them and I hardly got a look in when we had them with a movie. They do pack quite a bit of heat and I don’t think I’d eat these at work. But they are perfect for a movie night snack and I’d love them with some mint and yogurt dip. Much better than boring nachos.gluten free snack review

I was sent the CHIKA’S snacks for free in exchange for my honest review. You can find out more in my advertising and disclosure policy.

  1. I’m not great with heat, but the flavoured sound lush! I love anything semi savoury paired with honey. I’m imagining them right now. Also I imagine I wouldn’t get a look-in in my house with the chickpea crisps, my fiance is both a chickpea and a chilli addict!
