This year I got myself a great planner. Not only is it helping me to be more organised. It is also helping reflect on the things that make me happy. I am really enjoying writing these small things down, so I thought I’d share them with you in my monthly Happiness List.
At the end of each week in my planner. It has a space for the Highlight of the week. I have taken to jotting down anything that has made me happy, when it happens. Seeing it on paper has helped me to focus on the positive aspects of my month and not dwell on the negative.
January Happiness list
New years day party
It’s become a regular thing in our house to host a New years Party for Hubbies side of the family. So noisy, full of kids, lots of food and plenty of party games. It’s the perfect way to start the New year.
Who doesn’t like to win money? It came in just when I need it most as well, as my car insurance was due at the beginning of the month.
Crafting pop up cards with the boys
I’ve been making time to spend doing something with the boys afterschool. Rather than take the easier option of letting them entertain themselves playing lego or on the computer. They have really loved making the pop up cards and both of them produced some cool designs.

Dressing up as Olive Oyl
I will admit, I LOVE dressing up. So when my Hubbies cousin announced she was throwing a 40th Birthday fancy dress party, I was secretly very happy.
I knew I wanted to do a couples costume. So Hubby is naturally blessed to look a bit like Pop eye. Olive Oly it had to be. I made my costume myself, by trimming the skirt and top I already had. Teamed with some boots, pearls and a couple of victory rolls in my hair. I was really pleased with the finished look.

Getting some paid blogging work
Finally! It seemed to all come at the end of the month but I’ve made of £200 this month.
Aren’t these just the cutest way to get organised in your planner!
