When the new year has arrived and we are stuck in the depths of Winter, I like nothing more than dreaming of far away lands and warm sandy shores. It is often a topic of conversation between hubby and I when we finally get to sit down in the evening. Where would we like to go on holiday this year? Even if we don’t have the budget for a holiday we still enjoy the planning and the dreaming. This is our travel bucket list for 2018.
Travel Bucket List Spain
Spain has been a favourite of many a family holiday and our youngest is often asking when are we going back there. With such a variety of coastline and countryside to explore I am sure we’ll be back there soon. Big pluses for me are the amount of gluten free food I can eat and the wonderful openness they have to children.
Travel Bucket List Norway
Sometimes we like to travel in larger family groups often with my parents. Norway and sailing the Fjords in particular is something we have talked about for some time now. Perhaps 2018 will be the year we make it happen.
Travel Bucket List Bali
I spent some time in Bali when I was in my early teens and the beauty of that island never left me. I would love to share the experience with my hubby and kids but I’m not sure if the kids are old enough to stand the long haul flight.
Travel Bucket List Maldives
I had my Honeymoon in the Maldives 14 years ago and every year since we have said we’ll go back. Obviously this is not one for the kids. They be bored silly. Perhaps some sweet talking of the grandparents is needed? Then maybe a wedding anniversary getaway could be possible. I might just check the prices on destination2.co.uk
Travel Bucket List Mexico
I’ve had friend that have come back from Mexico and raved about the colour and the amazing sensory overload you can get in Mexico. I would love to travel there for the dias de los muertos in particular as I’ve always been fascinated with that festival.
Travel Bucket List Borneo
My husband and I are avid Natural history programme watchers. For his thirtieth birthday I took him to Kenya because we had got so obsessed with watching Big Cat diary’s. Another place of wildlife interest on our travel bucket list would be Borneo. Somehow I’m not sure we’ll make it there this year.
