Today is International Women’s day and it’s great opportunity to raise up women in your life who you are thankful for or how need an extra boost. It’s also a good day to continue to challenge the inequality that exists around the world. I will be happy when we live in a globally fairer society. In celebration of today Spoonflower set the International womens day design challenge.
This was the brief:
‘From proudly marching with your sisters or showing support for those around you, we challenge you to create a repeating design honouring what sisterhood around the world means to you.’
After really struggling with what to draw and design for this brief. I decided to create a pattern using faces of women from around the world. I did a quick search on the internet and drew a whole host of naive faces. I wanted to keep the design childlike and simple. I wanted it to be something you would like to make things out of.
So my final design is a whole host of happy women’s faces from around the globe. I titled it women kind.
Voting for the competition opens today and I would love it if you could show me some love. To can find my design along with many other great pieces here.
