You may be aware of my love for all things vintage. I even went as far as to buy and restore a vintage caravan recently. So I thought I’d share my passion for all things retro and start a new series. The A to Z of Vintage. This week is a great way to get into wearing the look by using vintage accessories.
How to style Vintage Accessories
When dipping your toes in the pool of vintage dressing it can easy to end up looking like your off to a fancy dress party. Before going the whole hog in top to toe vintage, try a few key accessories to get you rocking the vibe.

Vintage sunglasses are a great place to start and give you instant pinup glamour. I love this red pair of cats eye sunglasses £2.99 but if you want a more subtle start to your vintage look opt for a pair in black or tortoise shell. They’ll go with everything.
No matter what your size or shape. Cinching in your waist with a classic belt will get you that hourglass look.
If you want the real deal, try talking nicely to grandma or great aunts. If you don’t discover any hidden gems. Local flea markets and charity shops are worth having a mooch around. Bear in mind you have to have a really good dig around and don’t expect to find everything you want.

If you just want the look but perhaps not the price tag of genuine vintage pieces. This are some of my favourite from the web.
I love these antique gold and emerald look drop earrings £11.00 which would look fab on a night out. But personally I would rock them with my hair down and jeans and a tee. Just the occasional glint of green would really lift my outfit.
I haven’t got the figure to be a Gatsby girl. Too many curves. But I love the look. These three pieces with a shift dress would be stunning.
Necklace and earring set £12.99
Vintage accessories for hair
Want to mix up your look. Stick to modern fabrics and silhouettes and play up the vintage look in your hair.
Keep the flapper look going with the headband £12.99
